Windows 2012 hyper-v is supported on the ML110 G7. I guess the Backup VM is the VM is the one that will use the most resources. But if your users mostly use the AD VM during the day and the backup complete at night they shouldn't interfere. The server can do hot-plug disks but then you're limited to 4x1TB SAS disks.

Aug 16, 2017 · Hello, Has anyone been able to install Hyper-V server 2016 on Proliant DL380 G6 ? HP site seems to only have the drivers for up to 2012 R2. It will be great if I can use the older servers as a secondary host server for our new deployment.
