Mar 05, 2012 · New computer. I downloaded the PreSonus driver and installed it manually. I tried it several times. Usually, the installation fails. Sometimes it appears to install but then the driver doesn't show up. I have searched the PreSonus site and googled it. PreSonus tech support does not respond. I really need this working. I'm hoping you guys might have some idea what's up.

Dec 26, 2016 · I’m currently using Mac/OS/Ableton, but considering taking the jump to Ubuntu (Linux), and then use ‘Bitwig’ as my new DAW (because it’s Linux-compatible). Only problem seems to be that my soundcard (Presonus Firebox) does not support Linux… Also interested to hear peoples experiences with making music in DAW’s in Linux/Ubuntu.

Even if you were to get a blue sync after you build jackd with freebob: it doesnt mean your firepod will be functional due to the new firewire stack. gotta revert to the old stuff, which i cant seem to find a good way to do. I would like to keep my current kernel (2.6.32) if possible...

Oct 09, 2009 · No Sound out of Presonus Firebox I just installed the drivers for my Firebox on Vista 64, but I'm not getting any sound when I play something in iTunes, internet, or otherwise. I haven't tried with audio programs yet because I thought I should just get it working with system sounds first.

I wanted to include a section on support/warranty but to be honest I’ve never really had to use it! The only time I ever called Presonus was to replace a power supply that I lost for my FireBox while evacuated for Hurricane Katrina. They just sent me one no questions asked even though I told them I fully expected to pay for it.

Sep 29, 2018 · The Satellite is probably not going to work, as it is an ‘Unknown’ status in FFADO, which provides the firewire device support for Linux Audio primarily. As such there may be a slight chance it would work and just hasn’t been tested, but I wouldn’t hold my breath, and certainly wouldn’t buy one for use in Linux;) Seablade
