You will have to talk to the Sybase Technical Support for information about exactly why PowerBuilder 5.0 is not compatible with Windows 7 and exactly what in the PowerBuilder 5.0 code causes the problem.

    Jul 19, 2017 · Hi; PB 12.6 was superseded by Appeon who have now taken over the PowerBuilder development from SAP starting in July, 2016. If you migrate to Appeon PB, then you will then receive support from them.
