Mar 28, 2017 · Looking at the NEWS file, portage had the first eapi 6 patches starting in the 2.2.16 release (2 years ago) with the final eapi 6 patches in the 2.2.25 release(1.25 yr. ago) There are many ways to work around a problem such as this.
