May 01, 2010 · Well who knows what kind of weird hardware is inside the USB chip. The PonyProg hardware has been designed specifically real serial ports in mind, so I guess if your USB adapter is made with RS232 compatibility in mind instead of compliance, then the PonyProg hardware might just not work with your type of USB adapter.

When I click on click on New Release 2.08c here in the forum I get a music video but no information on the new release. I just wanted to check if the ATMEGA 328 has been added to the new release. I have downloaded and installed the new release but cannot find the ATMEGA 328.

For other members of AVR family or the rest programmable ICs that Ponyprog can program, there is the J1 connector (CON10) which allows expanding the programmer’s hardware. I want to learn to program the 328 in AVR Studio but I am currently borrowing a programmer and don't have my own (unless I use the Arduino with some ISP programs). ... You may want to check out PonyProg or avrdude and some of the very simple parallel port "bit bashing" ISP programmers they support.
