Feb 03, 2016 · Hi all, Today I was trying to link up the home movies to my Plex Mac Mini and I can't get it to recognize the contents of the AVCHD file/folders (taken by Panasonic HF21). It's been a few years but I think I remember seeing Plex play some of my AVCHD files/folders before, but for some reason I can't get it to recognize them again. Any ideas as to what's going on and how to enable AVCHD support ...

Something about it going against the Plex model/idealogy? So yeah...no ISO, TS/m2ts, IMG, or other disk image support. You can use MVKMerge to remux the audio/video/subtitle streams you want into an MKV container, or Handbrake to encode them to reduce filesize/bitrate.

The Plex Media support has a very limited outside codec support. In some cases the user needs to make sure that the M2TS files are transcoded and the Plex media player will play them. It is also advised to make sure that the relevant format which the Plex media server is supporting is used and the file is converted to this format to make sure that the playback is not interrupted ever in this regard.
