    Sep 04, 2012 · I have 8.73 installed; my PicKit 2 lists both versions of the '1825, but MPLAB IDE tells me the device is not supported by the PK2 and disconnects it.. Spent the morning digging in the 8.87 release notes (see below) trying to determine if <that> IDE supports the '1825 <AND> the PK2, with no luck. "Devices Supported.htm" seems to be the current disinformation.

    Oct 15, 2014 · Wrong. The PICkit 2 app comes with device file v1.61.00 and the last official upgrade for it is v1.62.14. The PICkit 3 app comes with device file v1.62.15 which adds support for one device - PIC12F529. You can dump a list of supported devices using the PK2CMD utility. You do not need an actual PICkit 2 to perform the dump.
