    Feb 26, 2008 · Picasa does support RAW files in various formats (see the link below). But to view a RAW file on the screen it must be converted to an RBG file, The Picasa program has default RAW conversion parameters built in to it, to enable it to show this initial view.

    A possible solution is to convert these to the " open". RAW format, DNG. This way you can keep your files in a RAW format, so you don't loose any quality, and they will be "safer" as on the long run DNG has a far bigger chance to keep being supported than a proprietary format made by one camera brand.
