Later (a bit) as GPU's became powerfull enoigh to do both graphics and compute introduced CUDA as the accelartion platform for PhysX. If you say the pop-up box "Your hardware does not support NVIDIA(TM) Hardware Accelerated PhysX(TM). Performance will be severely reduced without dedicated hardware." Forget it, I have a 9600GT and I can run the game quite smooth(avg. 40fps) with high PhysX (no AA).
