A well fitting pessary will support the prolapsed tissues and does allow women to perform exercises they might not be able to. I am unable to comment on whether a woman with a pessary can stop worrying about worsening rectocoele, there really is no research that I know of that investigates whether pessary stops or delays prolapse worsening.
