May 26, 2014 · Other than that, games like Witcher 2 requires you to select Gamepad on the settings menu in game before using controller, that also falls into the partial controller suport thing. When Steam says Full controller support, it means that after you click to start the game, you wont have to touch the mouse or keyboard again like a console game.

what does "partial controller support" really mean? ... though Steam doesn't seem to check for this. Nope. ... "Partial Controller Support" doesn't mean anything more than some parts of the game is not really ideal to or just can't use a controller. There is no definition to it that speaks about what type of controller the game supports.

Ok, I'm not a dev so i'm not 100% sure how the whole category/flag for full/partial controller support thing works, but I'm finding more often (and usually by complete fluke) that a game that doesn't have the category/flag on the store page for supporting any controllers actually does.
