hi! as per Linksys PAP2T nor PAP2 do not support T.38 protocol which is why you cannot see it on their data sheet...Linksys phone adapters that does support T.38 are SPA2102 and SPA3102

PAP2T-NA can support T.38 fax? Yes it does if you configure it in asterisk hosted SIP server (a little experiments will does try, although some testing will goes to pass through. You can see in the main page of your PAP2T it logs, if its a pass through or fax (t.38). TY

I upgraded my TB to 1.4 and it took, but freepbx doesn't let you specify that its a t38 exten, so manually edited the sip.conf for this and still no go. I have got a fax going one way 3102 -> LAN -> AST -> LAN -> PAP2 and that worked but going the other way ...

Apr 26, 2006 · The only gripe I have with the PAP2 is that it doesn't support T.38 for fax, and it's fax passthrough doesn't work at all for me :(If you don't (or never will) need fax, then the PAP2 is great, if you think you may need fax at some time, then buy an ATA that supports T.38 and has been shown to work.

If the SIP trunk provider doesn't support T.38, can I use a Cube to transform from T.38 to G.711 to the provider and if yes is their an example IOS config I can use? A.
