Apr 26, 2013 · The problem is: some manufacturers are selling P67 motherboards claiming they support VT-d. On the other side, there is Asus, who claims VT-d are impossible to support "due to chipset limitations" on P67 chipsets, contradicting themselves (read below, there are some Asus P67-H67 that support VT-d, in fact). These are the official manuals:

Resolved an issue where a VT-d aware Operating System may experience a hang when the ROM Based Setup Utility (RBSU) option for VT-d is enabled (it is enabled by default). If using Intel VT-d support with the Xen hypervisor, the System ROM must be updated to this revision. Known Issues: None

Mar 25, 2011 · Re:EVGA P67. where is the VT-d support? 2011/03/25 08:22:56 As the current BIOS s all have the option in BIOS to turn on or off the VT-d support, it would follow that the new P67 boards would have the same option.

May 14, 2011 · I'm fairly new to the whole UEFI thing, as opposed to the old BIOS, but I simply cannot find an option to enable VT-x (Hardware Virtualisation) on this particular mainboard. I have a P67A-G45 with an i5 2500k, and I just recently tried to install a 64-bit VM, only to have Virtualbox complain at me about not having VT-x enabled in my BIOS.

The K CPUs have a higher clock for the graphics, but sacrifices VT-d technology. Fortunately this is widely understood and reported, unlike last generation when confusion between VT, VT-x and VT-d reigned. What they failed to clarify was that, VT-d is unavailable in pretty much all P67/H67 chipsets.

Their "DP67BG" MB with P67 chipset does support VT-d. So its just up to the manufacturers whethever they include support for VT-d(needs BIOS with VT-d supp.). So its just up to the manufacturers whethever they include support for VT-d(needs BIOS with VT-d supp.).
