Feb 13, 2011 · now I can see the AHCI in the BIOS, but I still have a problem to find it in windows XP device manager. no AHCI in device manager. I try to install Intel Matrix Storage Manager, still not working. my OCZ Vertex2 60GB just read: 181MB/s (support read up to 285MB/s) can you tell me the right direction? YES, I have P5K SE/EPU board.

Dec 04, 2011 · The P5K-E has the Intel ICH9R South Bridge so should support AHCI mode. You'll still be limited to SATA 2 speeds though.

Ok but according to the Asus P5K manual guide, I should be able to use the JMicron controller in ahci mode . Normally, if I follow the tuto, step 10 and 11, the hard drive is connected to the JMicron and when windows comes up, it asks for drivers.
