Jan 17, 2011 · Hi, i have Nokia 5800XM running on v51.2.007 and ovi suite 2.2.1.23 using Windows 7 home edition, and lately I'm having the same problem as you every time when i connect my device on PC i get the "Support Software Installation Failed" message.

Dec 29, 2010 · I am getting "Support software installation failed" when I connect my E71 to the PC running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3. Ovi suite and firmware versions are: Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2.1.23. E71 300.21.012 . I did not have any problems this morning before updating the phone software. It was quite old starting with 100. something.

For some weeks now im getting "installation fails" message when trying to install some of the software from OVI or from downloaded files. For example, Nokia Sleeping Screen. It downloads and the Ovi bar says "installing" then a smaller window appear in the lower section of the screen saying "preparing installation" then "Installing" then after a few seconds "installation Failed.
