Sep 13, 2011 · Downloaded and installed Overdrive Media Console and downloaded a WMA audio book from my local library. The audio book will not play on Windows Media Player or using the Overdrive Console. Media Player indicates there's a problem and refers me to a web site which did not really address the problem.

The Overdrive Media Console app doesn't work on Windows phones. The app fails to load images when searching my library, does not load search results, is incredibly cumbersome when trying to type, and, most importantly, will not actually download an ebook to the bookshelf for reading.3.5/5(1K)

Jan 17, 2012 · It's not clear to me if you downloaded the WMA audio book using the Overdrive Media Console on your laptop. If so, I thought that Overdrive would let you transfer the file and license to Overdrive on you Android device, but I'm not sure. It's been a while since I used it. I got fed up with that mess and just decided to circumvent it.

Welcome to the ugly, ugly world of DRM (Digital Rights Misery). The problem is coming from Overdrive not seeing that the Clip is authorized. Because Sansas were originally to supposed to work with Rhapsody's music subscription, the "music subscription" message actually means that your computer is not seeing your Clip as a device authorized to receive files.
