We are looking to start our upgrade to EBS 12.2 from 12.1.3 starting this year and I'm concerned that EBS 12.2 is only currently certified with 12.1.0.2 of Oracle Database, with this version due nto go into extended support in July of this year.

With the upcoming on-premise release of Oracle Database 12.2.0.1, Oracle has updated the Critical Patch Update (CPU) security patch end dates for 11.2.0.4 and 12.1.0.2. Currently (as of January 2017), only 11.2.0.4 and 12.1.0.2 are supported for CPUs. The CPU end-dates, which correspond with the end of Extended Support, have been extended to October 2020 for 11.2.0.4 and July 2021 for 12.1.0.2.

Jun 26, 2013 · One interesting note: Oracle 9iR2, 10gR1, 10gR2, and 11gR1 all had a 5 year window from GA to Premier Desupport. Oracle 11gR2 for whatever reason has a 5 year, 4 month window. Oracle 11g Release 1 was desupported on 31 August 2012 and extended support will end on 31 August 2015. Oracle 11g Release 2 was desupported on 31 January 2015 and extended support will end on December 2020. Currently, Oracle 12c Release 1 is fully supported until 31 July 2018 .
