Oracle Nameserver is still available, but deprecate in favour of LDAP Naming (using the Oracle Internet Directory Server). A nameserver proxy is provided for backwards compatibility as pre-8i client cannot resolve names from an LDAP server.

Jan 05, 2010 · With the Extended Support you can have Patchset Exception so as to corrrect a specific Bug. But to benefit from it you must apply the Final Patchset 9.2.0.8. Afterwards (and indefinitely), you have the Sustaining Support, you can have documentation, help to upgrade..., but you couldn't have any patch for a Bug. Hope it can help.
