So after a few hours of troubleshooting, it looks like OPTUS blocks VOIP ports on their 4G mobile broadband plans. Can someone from OPTUS confirm this is the case and that OPTUS do not support VOIP using their 4G mobile broadband devices?

However, as this is a bundle with include VOIP phone I was stuck with what I had. I wrote to Optus on their FB page and here is the adridged conversation. TO OPTUS: As I have VOIP phone I am stuck with using the Optus supplied Sagencom Fast 3864 Router which is practically locked by the Optus firmware.

I was excited to see Optus Loop's prices and to have the service I need supported by a company I knew. When I did have an issue, their support representative was above and beyond friendly and helpful in his tone. I only wish his professionalism could fix the underlying shoddy service.
