Feb 06, 2009 · Hi I've installed openSUSE 11.1 and now I have a problem. the VLC mediaplayer can play .mp3 files without a problem but amarok 1.4 and amarok 2 can't play them. I've applied the update from Multimedia - openSUSE-Community, but it won't help. What can I do? I don't have much experience with openSUSE, so please can you explain the solutions exactly.

After the installation finished, all mp3 support had disappeared. Amarok used to play mp3 without problems after I for the first time had installed opensuse11.0. But now it it seems almost a mission impossible to get my mp3s played. I can use some help with finding the right packages for mp3 to be played again by Amarok.
