Oct 09, 2008 · AFAIK "they support FC" means that OpenFiler can use a FC-HBA to access LUNs but not act as a FC-SAN. So you can use LUNs in OpenFiler and present them as iSCSI/NFS/... to an ESX but not as FC. --There are 10 types of people. Those who understand binary and the rest. And those who understand gray-code.

Dec 19, 2012 · If I were to create my Own SAN using Openfiler as a FC Target, does any one know if there are limitations to using the free (open source version) of Openfiler with multiple hosts connecting to the same volume? I know OF has limitations baked into it using iSCSI and multiple hosts. But does this apply to FC as well?
