OpenBTS USRP2 support 11/17/2010 07:09 AM I'm announcing the availability of USRP2 support with OpenBTS. The patch set consists of a new device implementation that uses the UHD driver from Ettus Research and allows the use of an external 10MHz reference clock.

Hi All, I'm announcing Ettus Research USRP support for OpenBTS-UMTS. The following devices are now supported. B-series: B200 / B210 X-series: X300 / X310 N-series: N200 / N210 / USRP2 USRP products using USB 2.0 are not supported by OpenBTS-UMTS due to insufficient bandwidth capability.

If you try to attach, it will reject you. This is because OpenBTS, by default, only allows registered handsets to connect.

Only OpenBTS GSM support is available. UMTS is not supported due to limited transport bandwidth of the USB 2.0 bus. For use with OpenBTS, the USRP1 requires hardware modification and non-official driver software and firmware. Hardware Modification
