Jan 05, 2017 · Because of the published Win2003 OS security vulnerabilities, we would like to move to Win2008 R2 (64bit) and still continue to use Office 2003. I am not too worried about support or certifications because this is a temporary move for a short duration. A. Will this work? Office 2003 is 32bit, Win2008r2 is 64bit.

May 24, 2010 · Currently, the latest Office Compatibility Pack is Service Pack, and it is supported on the following operating systems: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2; Windows Server 2008; Windows Vista Service Pack 1; Windows XP Service Pack 3. I have tested on my side and I could install the Compatibility Pack on Windows 7/Windows Server 2008 R2.

Office installs on Windows Server just fine and pretty much always has since Microsoft added Terminal server/Remote Desktop support.
