How to disable/enable the boot option or the BIOS on an Adaptec or ICP RAID controller? How can the BIOS on the Adaptec SCSI Controller be disabled? Not able to boot from NT 4.0 CD. BIOS Support for bootable CD is enabled. Moved drives to AVA-2906 and now getting "No boot device available" at boot.

No Int 13 drives to support is diplayed after the scan. Does anyone have any idea if maybe the RAID controller is bad or any other suggestions. We have looked the system in and out to make sure that everything is connected properly.

On SCSI Controllers with 2 channels, the BIOS of the channel that does not have the boot device, can be disabled. To do this, go to "Advanced Configuration" and set "SCSI Controller Int 13 Support" to "Disabled". If you boot from a SCSI device attached with the SCSI controller, leave the "SCSI Controller Int 13 Support" at "Enabled".

Nov 11, 2011 · Extremely strange, but I had something similar happen to me as well nearly a week before your incident (May 23rd). Luckily I had a 2 disk RAID-1 boot volume, and a 4 disk RAID-5 data volume, but after the system randomly rebooted on Sunday night, it refused to recognize any RAID array except the RAID-1 disks, and even then it didn't realize the 2 disks were from the same array.
