From the Wii Shop Channel Welcome screen, select Start Shopping, then select Wii Channels. Select the desired application, then select Update , Free , Download , or Redownload . If the button says Downloaded when viewing a specific channel, it's already been downloaded to the console.

The Wii Shop Channel should be removed and the Wii console's system memory formatted prior to selling or otherwise transferring your Wii console to any third party. Once removed, all downloaded content (games, channels, etc.) and transaction history on the Wii Shop Channel will be deleted and cannot be retrieved.
