Mar 22, 2012 · hi. i am trying to perform router on stick practical with real switch and virtual router in GNS3. but when i am ping to router fom switch or PC, it doesn't work. i doubted on NIC card. 802.1Q may not be enabled on it.

Jan 07, 2015 · The onboard NIC of these Lenovos supports dot1q but when we tag the port, the port to our internal one messes up. So if there is a PCI-E NIC out there... please help!

The switchport mode dot1q-tunnel command tells the switch to tag the traffic and switchport access vlan command is required to specify the Q-in-Q VLAN of 123. Make sure that VLAN 123 is available on SW1, SW2 and SW3.
