Dec 01, 2010 · The Nexus S is unlocked right out of the box and can be used with a Quad-band (850, 900, 1800, 1900) GSM carrier and is Tri-band HSPA (900, 2100, 1700) compatible. For you AT&T customers out there, just a quick reminder that the Nexus S does not support the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz HSPA frequency bands required for 3G mobile data.

Jan 02, 2011 · With my Nexus S, it says 3G when I'm on the HSPA network (obviously since it's not an HSPA+ device, it's never on the HSPA+ network). Still, only .5Mbps on 3G is a bit slow, especially if your G2 is doing just fine in the same spot.

Agree with everyone else that the only currently announced Nexus S is only for T-Mobile in the US and does not work on our 3G. There have been rumors of a possible Verizon CDMA version using their "4G" network sometime in Q1 2011, but it's still a very loose rumor. The T-Mobile 3G version is the only version that has been announced as of now.
