Hi we are currently testing NexentaStor with a Supermicro SYS-2028U-TNR4T+ system. The only problem is that the 4 NVMe Intel DC P3700Series PCIe3.0 drives are not recognized by NexentaStor. It seems that Nexenta does currently not support NVMe at all.

The only problem is that the 4 NVMe Intel DC P3700Series PCIe3.0 drives are not recognized by NexentaStor. It seems that Nexenta does currently not support NVMe at all. We read a press release that NexentaStor 4.1 should be available at Q4 2014 but it's still not released. Any news on this and or support for NVMe?

May 21, 2015 · nexenta is usually a rather old illumos with lots of restrictions, including a max 18 tb raw limit. i find the omnios and nappit does the same, or even better of a job, has a much better community. only reason for ever thinking nexenta is VAAI, which nexenta still hasnt released to the community as the have promissed now for over 3 years.
