Jan 14, 2018 · The Netflix app on my Apple TV4k was trying to perform DNS lookups over the TCP protocol - not the UDP protocol typically used by DNS. I needed to enable support for DNS over TCP on my firewall. Once I had done that, Netflix worked fine once again. Hope this helps someone.
