Mar 10, 2005 · I'd also like to see NetBSD as an officially "supported" operating system. While I've had no trouble getting NetBSD to run on a GSX (3.1.0) system, and don't foresee any technical trouble with using it on an ESX system, at least two policy issues have come up:

Used since NetBSD 1.6 or so. Works nice with NetBSD/macppc. No suspend support on NetBSD. No modem support (some usb attached modem attaching as ugen(4). No WPA on NetBSD with wi(4) (in contrast to Mac OS X). NetBSD/5.1_STABLE has problem that keyboard doesn't work in xdm after logout; solved by forcing a xdm restart upon logout.
