Apr 01, 2013 · 1. Move the iTunes folder from my local to anywhere on the NAS. Then point iTunes to the location under advanced in iTunes. I see problems with this is that you do not get that option using iOS devices, so how would they connect to it? 2. Create Shared library - I have tried this by moving a few albums to the iTunes location on the NAS.

Any NAS that can store any of my data (ok that's every NAS :)) and serves as a stand alone iTunes library I consider a real iTunes Server. I would consider it a real real iTunes Server if I can remote it via Apples Remote App and stream music/videos via Apple appropriate apps (yes I kinda favor Apples solution whenever available).

Jan 28, 2018 · Can someone tell me what the iTunes Server feature of the MyCloud NAS is supposed to do? I thought it would let me find my iTunes library from my Apple TV but it does not seem to do that. I thought that home sharing would see the iTunes server but it doesn’t. Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated!!
