sql_mode = empty (or NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION) for MySQL 5.6+ Sorry vtiger 7 does not work properly in PHP 7 . Could you try downgrading PHP version to 5.6 and check. I've attempted to set up vTiger multiple times on my shared hosting -- all of the php.ini values are set properly and all of the folders/files in my vtiger folder under the domain have the permission value '775'.

i am listing all the reports that i can find and that may give someone an idea of why i can not get this to work. i do not know why it keeps looking for the mysql server on 10061 and not 33006. i am not a programmer and this is certainly way beyond my understanding but i am hopeing that someone out there can understand what is happening.

I think you should pay attention to the port Mysql is using, if you are using Wampserver, By default the new versions install MariaDB first, and MySQL second so MariaDB get the port 3306 and Mysql get the an other one (most of the time 3307). Vtiger will always try to connect to a database to the port 3306 (unless you change it in the code).
