Nov 26, 2017 · I just installed 2 X5355 cpu's on my My171 A00 motherboard with A08 bios with no problems. Booted right up. I was worried with the info I found online but I tried it anyway. I unplugged the power cord and removed battery during the switch. Plugged battery and cord back in when new cpu's were in place. Fired it up and it booted to windows.

Oct 03, 2016 · My board must be the Rev A02 MY171. Two of the X5355, 2.66 GHz, FSB 1333 MHz, L2 8 MB, work perfectly. I have been doing a lot of reading on this model of the precision workstation and I have found that this board and revision, and chipset have no reason not to support the X54xx, with 1333MHz FSB series.

May 01, 2016 · I am not a quitter, so I went online and bought another MY171 mobo from txcesssurplus. This time, the company sent me a Rev A02 MY171 mobo. I replaced the old REV A01 MY171 board, put in my dual e5345, and the CPUs work just fine under bios A07. THIS IS THE ANSWER. This is why some people with MY171 boards get the quads to work and others do not.

remove cpu and memory and vid card. remove F9394 mobo...then install the my171 in exact reverse order. The cmos battery in the my171 has been sitting out for 30min. Soon as i do the last step, connect the power cable, it tries to boot and immediately flashes 1-3 once and then 2-3-4 forever, with the power button amber and fans on high.
