Generally speaking, if the DAW supports multicore processing of plug-ins on their own, then, as long as each plugin instance uses less than 100% of one core, there is no need for the plug-in itself to support multicore, because the host does the job for the plugin. Doing so only introduces the overhead.

Jan 08, 2016 · I was wondering whether Windows 10 has the same CPU restrictions as found in Windows 7 and 8. In both those versions only 1 physical CPU is supported for Home Premium, and 2 for Pro and Ultimate (though they all support multiple cores).

May 03, 2013 · I have enabled and tested last weekend with sample rate 44100Hz & 48000Hz all 4fx’s on, the 30 - 40% latency is now decreased to 10 - 20% because the Intel quad core processor chips are working independently which is a great advantage.
