Mar 02, 2010 · Like kakaroto said, until MSNP18 support is complete, use any other application to do Audio+Video and keep using aMSN just for chatting. Amsn is a GREAT program, no other program has all the features that aMSN has, and I am sure that aMSN developers are doing their best to make it better. And just one more thing.

Obviously, we can’t move to MSNP18 at the moment, because MPOP support isn’t really ready yet, and because MSNP2PV2 hasn’t been implemented, so we had to remove the Audio/Video support in aMSN SVN for now, and only have it available for those who are brave enough to try out MSNP18.

One of the biggest features nowadays in Windows Live Messenger is support for MSNP18's introduced Groups feature. I mean the static groups that are stored on the server side, no other messaging client supports this (that I'm aware of) other than Microsoft's own.

Apr 03, 2010 · Yes, that command will set amsn to work with msnp18. The config is saved in amsn preferences folder (aka /home/username/.amsn/) AFAIK amsn doesn't support command line args, but maybe I'm wrong.
