Oct 25, 2009 · In a nutshell, a dependent client uses another machine (server) to manage the queue for them. The only real advantage is maintenance, the queue resources and the dead letter queue for multiple machines can be in one place. If you've setup a queue at the machine that uses MSMQ then you've got an independent client.

Do the newest versions of MSMQ for Windows Server 2008 support 64-bit dependent clients ? If not, why not ? From what I have read, you can still configure MSMQ dependent client functionality by clicking in the right places but I don't see why the 32 or 64 bit platform would matter.
