The reason behind this is that if you have installed a MSI under the “User A” account and then scan for the update it will not be detected by the scan engine (running under a different account) and thus cannot be patched.

Mar 12, 2007 · When our network was setup the engineer setup a share on our server that had the SMS Advanced Client and we simply ran the Client.msi from the share (\\Server\GPOSMS) and it installed the SMS Client happily. Silently and without any interaction. A policy was also setup that new PCs would install SMS once they ran the policy for the first time.

May 21, 2017 · I have tried to repair the WMI Repository, tried to install the Client manually, per push installation, triggered with sccm and with ConfigMgrStartup Script over GPO. I have deleted everything related to SCCM at the Client Machine.
