Apr 10, 2010 · IE6 doesn't support HTML5 and I don't think IE7 and IE8 do either. I know a software for IE6 from Google called "chrome frame" makes this possible, but it doesn't work on Windows ME and may make IE less secure.

Jul 01, 2018 · I am using Windows XP, and IE8 is the last version of IE on XP, and also, I really like Internet Explorer. OK... there are a few things that you can do from the Web server side in an attempt to make IE8 handle newer HTML5 constructs. But not from the client side. This browser predates the HTML5 standard by quite a few years.
