Dec 21, 2009 · Dear All, I've resolved this issue by including the -lva library (earlier it was -lva-x11) while compiling the mplayer with vaapi code, but now i am facing different issue that WHILE PLAYING MPLAYER-VAAPI ./mplayer -vo vaapi IT IS PLAYING BUT NO DISPLAY I AM GETTING IT IS FULL GREEN SCREEN.

Jun 29, 2012 · I know there is currently no support in mplayer proper (or mplayer2) for vaapi, but there are more than a few conflicting (and most likely outdated) sources/patchsets for this, so just wondering what exactly I need, what's the most up-to-date source, and is it just a patchset or does it require pulling a full git tree? Also, any ebuilds?

Jul 07, 2013 · Just some comments: vdpau is the winner, even AMD GPUs are now getting vdpau support, so Intel GPUs are the odd ones with vaapi only support; the reason this was never merged in mplayer/mplayer2 was because the original patches were dirty and intrusive and also buggy
