Does anyone know how to set up the server side. We are using Mountain Lion Server which uses runs services and not the normal System Preferences settings. The server overrides all SysPref settings. SMB is an option, but Samba is not. Installing Samba will not work with the server settings as far as I can see.

Jul 30, 2012 · Mountain Lion accepts 2KB; When the server tries responding to Mountain Lion with more than 2KB of data, it fails, because Mountain Lion has said "hey, I can only take 2KB of data for the list of shares." Mountain Lion knows that the server couldn't respond with the shares, so it goes back to the server to get the share list a different way.

Jul 02, 2016 · MCPF still does not recognize the installer. In my case, I have a bootable thumb drive for Mac OS X 10.8.5. The "Install Mac OS X Mountain Lion" application is just called "Install" on it. I tried renaming it to "Install Mac OS X Mountain Lion" and MCPF would not recognize it, nor would MCPF recognize it when it was only called "Install."
