Mar 23, 2009 · 45nm support on a 65nm board is sketchy. Check the CPU support list. For Intels anything BEFORE the Intel 30-series chipsets or the Geforce 7000 series chipsets won't support 45nm chips. 900-series Intel chipsets will not support 45nm. Some 30-series chipsets require a BIOS update, same for Geforce 7000 series motherboards.
