Oct 17, 2012 · I installed the latest version of miktex, but if I try to compile in pdf or ps, I get a message asking me to install a package named "microsoft-yandy-support". When I search for the package I find it in a directory, but miktex doesn't accept it as a package repository. Could anyone tell me what is happening? Antonio

As far as I can see, development of Y&Y TeX stopped more than a decade ago. The suite doesn't provide any of the recent additions to TeX: there's no pdftex, no e-TeX support, no XeTeX, no LuaTeX. Maybe the DVI driver to Postscript is better than dvips, but who needs it nowadays?
