Jun 21, 2017 · Well, I say NO!!! I had to sacrifice my perfect Windows XP Machine because Microsoft has "ended support"!!! Well, I am done with this end of support nonsense!!! Right Now I have a fast and high performing Windows 7 PC and Microsoft expects me to just give it up in 2 years because they can just end support for the OS.

Can Windows XP still be activated after April 8, 2014 if my computer has to be reloaded? Windows XP can still be installed and activated after end of support. Computers running Windows XP will still work but they won’t receive any Microsoft Updates or be able to leverage technical support.

XPe is categorized in the “Business and Developer product” category and as such, Microsoft supports XPe for a MINIMUM of 10 years at the Service Pack Level. That is 5 years of mainstream support and 5 years of extended support.
