Apr 22, 2011 · That wouldn't work. Many corporations are still using XP and have Windows 7 in testing. The reason why one place that I volunteer at hasn't upgraded to 7 yet is a database program that they use for ever department pretty much, Meditech, doesn't work with Windows 7.

For Windows XP to work with Windows 7 software, they would have to change the NT Kernel to Version 6.1-6.3 or 10, instead of 5.1. Windows XP would also not support the system specs needed for new win32 apps, and won't work with any Windows 10 Universal Apps, so no Edge.
