Oct 07, 2009 · QAM channels only get picked up by Media Center if the cable company includes the station identifier in the stream, as you can see they don't do it for all (if any in some areas). You can manually add the channels and assign guide listings to missing channels using the instructions provided by Savan. Did this solve your problem?

Jul 30, 2010 · Media Center detects the analog and digital tuners, but when I go to scan channels, I only end up with analog channels. If I try to add the QAM channels by entering the number, it won't bring anything up. I cannot figure out what is wrong. There are definitely ClearQAM channels to record.

Jan 31, 2008 · Vista doesn?t have support for Qam Cable as of now but there is an update scheduled for Vista Media Center later this year which will include QAM support which will be compatible with other then cable card tuners. However Microsoft has not commented anything on this. Even ATI haven?t said anything about QAM support in MC in Vista.

Vista Media Center does not currently support clear QAM digital cable TV. The WinTV-HVR-1800 can be made to work within the Windows XP Media Center application provided you have the latest updates (roll-up 2) for MCE installed.
