Dec 04, 2012 · Max Payne 3 Hangs on Initializing... I just went to play some MP3 and Steam popped up a message saying it had to convert the game content to a more efficient format. Once that was done, I started the game and now it freezes on the initializing screen.

Jan 14, 2013 · After getting back with R* Support about this they have come to the opinion that it was a direct X problem that even reinstalling the latest DX9c release on it did not fix since it installed, activated, and runs fine on the second computer.. There may be a Direct X problem with your installation of Max Payne 3.

Anyone know of a OFFICIAL statement that says Max Payne 3 for PC will have Xbox Controller Support? I'm guessing it will but does anyone know for sure? More than likely it will. It's pretty much the norm that it'll at least accept the 360. There's stand alone software to emulate PS3 and Generic USB controllers as 360.
