Oct 13, 2010 · Mackie Tech Support I called them this afternoon around 2 PM est with a question about my close to 10 year old Mackie Control Expander. Once I got through the voice mail options the phone was picked up almost immediately. the support tech was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to spend as much time with me as I needed to resolve my issue.

However, digital audio starts to distort as soon as levels exceed 0 dB. To prevent distortion, Mackie decreased the level of analog signals feeding into digital devices by 18 dB.
