Dec 01, 2017 · Mac OS X 10.5 is the most recent OS any iBook G4 could have. If you have the 800Mhz version of an iBook G4 (12") then you can install Mac OS X 01.4 Tiger as being the maxiumn OS avilable. In most case the early 2003-2004 G4 would have come with mac OS X 10.3 Panther.
