Dec 20, 2007 · I also seem to remember reading somewhere off-site that Apple had hired a few guys from the NTFS-3g project to implement NTFS r/w support into Leopard (don't know which version of Leopard and when it said the ETA was). Since my memory on this is somewhat shaky please don't take this as anything more than hear-say though.

Sep 07, 2009 · So NTFS would be the much better option for cross-platform usage of external harddrives since Windows cannot handle other file systems than NTFS and FAT. So IMO NTFS support is a must-have for any future MAC OS!

If you have a Mac and you need to access volumes that are formatted NTFS, this is the best solution out there. Why Apple hasn’t just baked in support for NTFS after all these years still remains a mystery.
