The 3001 rev. bios also adds support to other Phenom II cpu´s but not all of them. Be aware that 945 is the fastest cpu that is supported by this bios due to different power planes in the quicker cpu´s, like the 965. My advice is to stick to the list at the Asus site when buying cpu, even for slower cpu´s.

The Asus M2N-E SLI does not support multiple graphics cards via Nvidia SLI or AMD Crossfire. The Asus M2N-E SLI has 4 USB 2.0 slots but no USB 3.0 slots. While USB 3.0 slots are so far by no means necessary, and with a plethora of USB 2.0 peripherals to choose from, the USB functionality on this motherboard should be fine.

The M2N-E won't allow the vcore to be turned up very much at all. That is why it specs 1.8v memory. I have read of people vcoring up to 1.95 stable. Which BIOS do you have? I have that board, a 5600+ cpu with 800Mhz memory and the memory runs at full speed because of the multiplier on my cpu. I have not tried to adjust my timings at all though.
